After thoughtful consideration and strategic planning, NGL’s leadership team and Board of Directors, have approved a proposal to restructure NGL into a mutual holding company.
Here are some answers to some questions that you may have:
I received a notice from NGL. Do I have a policy with NGL?
NGL is an insurance provider offering a variety of products. You could have a funeral policy through a funeral home, life insurance, dental, vision, long-term care, hospital indemnity, or Medicare Supplement policy. Everyone who has a policy with NGL received the notice about NGL filing to restructure as a mutual holding company.
Why is NGL restructuring to a mutual holding company?
Converting to a mutual holding company is designed to enhance NGL’s ability to grow, innovate and serve policyholders even better – while preserving the core values that come with being a mutual insurance company.
What does this mean for NGL policyholders?
Policyholders will see little to no change. Existing policies will remain the same: Coverages, premiums, beneficiaries, and other features will not change because of this restructuring.
Do policyholders need to take any action?
While policyholders will see little to no change with the way their policies function and are serviced, approval is required to make this change. We ask that policyholders vote in favor of the proposal.
What if I want more information?
- Notice of Hearing with the Wisconsin Office of the Commissioner of Insurance.
- Notice of Special Meeting of Members that introduces the conversion plan and gives instructions on how to vote on the plan at a special policyholder meeting or by proxy (proxy voting will require your Control ID and Request ID, included with your policyholder letter).
- Policyholder Information Booklet is a detailed summary of the conversion plan.
